Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of cauliflower
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare Cauliflower:
    • Remove the outer leaves and the bottom core of the cauliflower.
    • Cut the cauliflower into florets of roughly the same size for even cooking.
  3. Season Cauliflower:
    • In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
    • Add the cauliflower florets to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  4. Roast Cauliflower:
    • Spread the seasoned cauliflower florets in a single layer on a baking sheet.
    • Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cauliflower is tender and has a golden brown color on the edges. Stir halfway through the cooking time to ensure even roasting.
  5. Optional Garnishes:
    • If desired, sprinkle the roasted cauliflower with grated Parmesan cheese immediately after removing from the oven. The heat will melt the cheese slightly.
    • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley for a touch of color and freshness.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve the roasted cauliflower hot as a side dish or a healthy snack.

Tips:

  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a drizzle of hot sauce before roasting.
  • If you like a bit of crunch, add some toasted breadcrumbs on top before serving.
