Ingredients:
- 1 large head of cauliflower
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare Cauliflower:
- Remove the outer leaves and the bottom core of the cauliflower.
- Cut the cauliflower into florets of roughly the same size for even cooking.
- Season Cauliflower:
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Add the cauliflower florets to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Roast Cauliflower:
- Spread the seasoned cauliflower florets in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cauliflower is tender and has a golden brown color on the edges. Stir halfway through the cooking time to ensure even roasting.
- Optional Garnishes:
- If desired, sprinkle the roasted cauliflower with grated Parmesan cheese immediately after removing from the oven. The heat will melt the cheese slightly.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley for a touch of color and freshness.
- Serve:
- Serve the roasted cauliflower hot as a side dish or a healthy snack.
Tips:
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a drizzle of hot sauce before roasting.
- If you like a bit of crunch, add some toasted breadcrumbs on top before serving.
