Chicken Spaghetti Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies (e.g., Rotel)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp seasoned salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping)
Instructions:
- Cook the Spaghetti:
- Cook the spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Chicken:
- If you don’t have pre-cooked chicken, you can boil or bake chicken breasts until fully cooked, then shred.
- Make the Sauce:
- In a large skillet, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and bell peppers, and sauté until soft, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, diced tomatoes with green chilies, and chicken broth. Mix well.
- Add the seasoned salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using). Stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Combine Ingredients:
- Add the shredded chicken to the sauce and mix well.
- Add the cooked spaghetti and 1 1/2 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese to the sauce. Toss everything together until the spaghetti is well coated and the cheese is melted.
- Bake:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pour the spaghetti mixture into a large baking dish.
- Top with the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve:
