Ingredients:
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a bit of heat)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. This will help the wings cook evenly and get crispy.
- Prepare the Wings:
- If the wings are whole, cut them into drumettes and flats. Pat the wings dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This will help them get crispy when baked.
- Season the Wings:
- In a large bowl, combine the vegetable oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried oregano, and cayenne pepper (if using). Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Bake the Wings:
- Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Make sure they are not touching each other. This will allow the hot air to circulate around the wings and make them crispy.
- Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, turning them halfway through the cooking time, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Serve:
- Remove the wings from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch, blue cheese, or buffalo sauce.
